About the Role
As Head of the CIO Office you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the strategic and operational development of IT across SARIA Ingredients & Energy and lead a team of 5. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will serve as a central link between IT leadership, business stakeholders, and the wider organization.
In parallel you get the responsibility to ensure smooth transition of the Danish IT organization into the new organization with new references and ways of working. You will assume dotted reference from the Danish IT team of 9 and close serve as key contact person between Daka management and global IT during the transformation process ensuring proper change management and serving as day-to-day link to the new IT organization with 120 employees.
The role will be international but based out of Daka Denmark with dual task of driving the internation transformation and at the same time be the local representative in Danish IT function.
The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution and focuses on ensuring governance, transparency, structure, and progress within the IT organization – particularly within:
- IT Governance & Compliance
- Enterprise Architecture
- Asset & License Management
- IT Accounting & Financial Transparency
- Transformation plans and local/global change management
You will lead the CIO Office team and work closely with both local and international stakeholders in an organization currently undergoing significant transformation.
The position is organizationally anchored within SARIA Ingredients & Energy and reports directly to the CIO. Location will be at Daka Denmarks HQ, but the role involves close international collaboration and 50-60 travel days a year.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will be the driving force behind creating structure, visibility, and momentum in an IT organization undergoing transformation. Among other things, you will:
- Support the CIO in executing the IT strategy and ensure alignment between strategy, projects, and operations
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Ensure transparency in the IT portfolio, including risks, progress, priorities, and reporting
- Drive performance management with clear KPIs
- Set direction for enterprise architecture and ensure futureready technology choices
- Lead Asset & License Management with a focus on compliance and cost control
- Ensure financial transparency in close cooperation with Finance
- Drive global change management activities and act as a central link throughout the transformation
IT Leadership in Denmark – Local Management and Operations
In parallel, you will act as local IT leader in Denmark and be responsible for:
- The daytoday management of the Danish IT team (9 employees) during and after the transition period
- Coordination of local IT needs and close dialogue with Daka management
- HR responsibilities such as payroll, wellbeing, and development
- Local change management and organizational anchoring
- Fostering a culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

You should want to be the “glue” between Denmark and the international IT organization, working closely with the team manager in Denmark.
- Strong experience with change management and organizational transformation and experience with management responsibilities during the process
- Have solid experience from a similar role or from IT leadership, IT governance, IT controlling, or enterprise architecture
- Possess strong business understanding and the ability to translate strategy into concrete frameworks, processes, and outcomes
- Work in a structured and data-driven way and thrive in complex organizational environments
- Are a clear and trustworthy leader who can align stakeholders across functions and countries
- Are comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy and operations
- Communicate fluently in English; German is an advantage but not a requirement
